ABOUT US

AWS is comprised of a team of friends with roots that go back to our home in Mexico in 1969. In woodworking classes in our native country, our team displayed the kind of talent, creativity, and attention to detail in design that won us numerous awards in woodworking competitions.

Out of necessity, we created our own new and innovated tools to help manufacture furniture of the highest quality. Our efforts were noticed, and our reputation for creating a wide variety of fine woodworking grew. In 1983, we manufactured our first kitchen cabinets and entertainment centers for friends in the United States. They praised our detail and workmanship and encouraged us to come to the United States.

A few months later we made the decision and move to Chicago. We found work at a local wood working company that would enable us to work while gaining the experience needed to successfully run our own business. Working nights and weekends in our garages, we started to build our own business little by little as word of our quality work spread. Finally in 1991 we were able to rent our first shop and start manufacturing as a full-time business.

Since then we've never looked back as our business has continued to grow. We thank all of our loyal customers and look forward to adding you to our growing family of satisfied AWS clients.

I, Jose Ruiz, work with all the customers  to complete the project from start to end. I will make sure that you're project is done right and in a timely manner. I take the project from designing stages to final stages.

I, Jose Ruiz, lead the production team to ensure no mistakes are made during the project's production stage and that it is completed on time without any worries from the client. Give me the plans, and I will bring your design to life.

The new Ruiz generation is already in training to learn the trade so they can continue serve our customers, their children & grandchildren. The goal of AWS, inc. is to build relationships that span the generation, and we look forward to working with you for all your woodworking needs now and in the future.
